So logic- defying
is the lineup
of rubbing shoulders
and pressing flesh
with lots and lots
of friends of friends
in planned retrospectives
with shifts in direction
as the city heads
into one of the muggiest
most unbearable stretches
unrolling in the season ahead
as partly pink with shades of green.
